So Much Things to Say by Roger Steffens – Competition ( Bob Marley Book GiveAway )
For the last 15 years, Reggae historian and archivist Roger Steffens has been working on his new book ‘So Much Things to Say: The Oral History of Bob Marley’ which tells the legendary musician’s life story through 40 years’ worth of interviews with bandmates, family members and Bob Marley himself.
Rolling Stone – an American biweekly magazine that focuses on popular culture – ran an exclusive advance excerpt on 7 July 2017 that focuses on the 1976 assassination attempt that almost took Marley’s life. The exposure may well have led to the book rising to become the number one reggae book currently on Amazon (the kindle version is number six). The book comes out in the UK in late August.
Worlmag.com has teamed up with publishers W.W. Norton & Company Ltd to offer readers a bumper giveaway. Five copies of the book and a pair of tickets worth £50.00 to go along to the Tabernacle in London, for the Bob Marley tribute evening – “A Celebration of Bob Marley: The definitive Reggae Night” with Roger Steffens and Linton Kwesi Johnson on Monday 4 September 2017.
